The universe within you - art of the soul

These collection of paintings have been inspired by the universe. The universe is talking to you. It is trying to get your attention. It tries to guide you, to connect with you and wake you up to a knowing that you are more than you think you are. You are one with the universe and have a gentle power within which can help you exist in a life of peace, harmony and freedom. Be curious and allow yourself to dance with the stars under the light of the moon.

Salvation

A saviour is someone who saves or rescues others from danger, harm, or difficult situations. I painted this in a moment of a brief challenge in my life. I say brief because I didn't allow the experience to impact on my thoughts and behaviour. Salvation generally centres around the idea of attaining a better state, often in contrast to a state of suffering, or separation from a higher power. Therefore, I painted "Salvation" to maintain my focus and hold on to calm the mind. This painting embodies the energy of peace and will be a calming addition to any space.

A Soulful Calling

A "soulful calling" refers to a strong and deep sense of purpose or mission that resonates with one's inner self or soul. It's a profound feeling that pulls a person towards a particular path or vocation, often aligning with their values, passions, and the unique qualities that make them who they are. It's about understanding what resonates with you at a deep level, what you feel passionate about, and how you can contribute positively to the world in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. This painting is calling you to go within and begin a journey of self discovery.

The Shift

When you feel a shift within, it usually means that something in your life is changing or you are transitioning from one phase of life to another. It can be an emotional, spiritual, physical, or mental shift that is happening in order for you to gain a clearer understanding of yourself and the world around you. This painting started off completely differently to this end result. The egoic agenda surfaced, but I let go of the control of what I thought the outcome should be and trusted the process. I felt growth and a shift in the application of the paint and in the mark making. Evolution and growth should always be appreciated. Visualise this painting in your home. On the wall, in a space which is calling out for a peaceful, soulful energy. A reminder that you have stepped in to your own deeper connection, with you.

Guidance

All through our lives, from the moment we are born, we are guided. Spiritual guidance can manifest through signs, synchronicities, and meaningful coincidences in daily life. Being guided, towards our dreams and wishes, is always for our highest good. Even at times when things seem to be going wrong. This painting evolved under guidance and is a sign to let go...and trust.

A Certain Beauty in the Darkness

Do you ever wonder, when you look up at the sky at night, what it would be like to dance under a ballroom of stars, while being seduced by the light of the moon? Darkness is not to be feared. For without darkness, there would be no light. This painting is my representation of the universal night sky. The first layer is a luxurious gold paint, followed by further application of gold, black, blue and white gouache. Texture adds a different dimension and tactile interest.

Faith

Faith isn't blind, it's visionary. That makes sense if you think about it. To have faith, you already know all is well. You trust yourself. You trust others. You trust the process. And you trust the universe. You are not stumbling around in blind faith. You already know. And you see.

A Needed Focus

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about you. It doesn't matter what people say about you. Don't try to feel better about yourself by wanting others to treat and see you differently. It will never work. The most important thing is to know that you don't have to prove anything to anybody. Focus on you.

Peace

Peace noun : The state of not being interrupted or annoyed by worry, problems, noise, or unwanted actions: This says it all. We need to strive to obtain peace in all areas of our lives. Peace within and without. It starts with our selves first. Every time. One thing we need to remember. A quote by the Dalai Lama. "We cannot obtain peace in the outer world unless we obtain peace within ourselves"

Your Universe

This painting speaks for itself. You are supported, loved and guided by the universe. In anything you do. Have faith and trust in all that is. You are loved and you are not alone.

Trust

To trust is to have firm belief in the reliability, truth or ability of something or someone. Trust is the one thing that we rely on in order for us to feel safe. Sometimes it's easy to trust, until that trust is broken. Then we have to start over and believe that we wont be disappointed. We wont be let down. We wont hurt. Trust can develop again if you open your heart and trust yourself first. The rest will follow.
